Richard holds a Master’s degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology from the University of Canterbury, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Diploma for Graduates in Marketing from the University of Otago. His career has included HR and Organisational Development roles with organisations such as McDonald’s New Zealand, Rentokil, and Carter Holt Harvey.
Having spent several years living in Japan and France and travelling extensively, he brings a broad international perspective to his work. Over the past decade, Richard has become a dedicated retail investor with a strong focus on long-term, fundamentals-based investing, with a particular interest in investment psychology. Outside of investing, he is an avid chess player, keen musician, and plays interclub tennis. He lives in Auckland with his wife and children.
